3 Keys To Kingdom Wealth

increase wealth Feb 01, 2021

What would you do if a distant relative left you an inheritance so big that you couldn’t spend it in your lifetime?

The answers may vary among us, but I’ll tell you one thing. You probably wouldn’t ignore the news.

And yet, so many of us don’t access the divine inheritance that our Heavenly Father has made provision for.

We’re walking around like beggars instead of beneficiaries.

Many of us will never be written into the will of a rich relative, but the will of God created us to be joint-heirs according to Romans 8:17 and a royal priesthood in 1 Peter 2:9.

When we walk in the fullness of our identity, we can access Kingdom wealth.

Here are 3 Keys to help you do it:

  • DEVELOP A KINGDOM WEALTH MINDSET

By much of the world’s standards, a wealth mindset prioritizes our financial investments and work ethic. While both of these are valuable approaches to achieving wealth, the Kingdom of God's priorities are different.

Deuteronomy 8:18 guides us to, “remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. (NIV)

God made a covenant with His people to have the ability to produce wealth. To adopt a Kingdom mindset, we have to shift our focus from our own toiling to the God who gave us the ability to produce.

Matthew 6:33 reminds us to, “..seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (ESV)”

Instead of pouring our mind, body, and soul into plans to get rich, we can wholeheartedly pursue God, who will supernaturally download the plans for us to acquire more than we could imagine.

  • WORK FOR GOD, NOT MONEY

Listen, bills are REAL, but so is God.

So many of us have been conditioned to work as much as possible to take care of our needs. While God honors our efforts, He’s also given us a different approach to working.

Colossians 3:2324 says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. (ESV)"

We can work all we want to and may still be living paycheck to paycheck. When we work for God, we receive access to an inheritance.

  • MAKE GENEROSITY A PART OF YOUR LIFESTYLE

When one man decided to pay for the car behind him at a Dairy Queen fast-food restaurant drive-through in Brainerd, Minnesota last year, 900 cars followed.

One generous man impacted over 1000 people. How many of us prioritize generosity in our daily lives?

How would we impact the world if we did?

There is a blessing in giving, which Proverbs 11:24-25 reveals when it says, “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”

When we give out of a generous heart, we don’t only bless the people on the receiving end, but we also step into alignment with Kingdom wealth principles.
